Dennis Rodman Confirms Plans To Attend United States-North Korea Summit

Dennis Rodman is all for Trump trying to "Make The World Great Again."
This week, United States president Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un are set to meet in a historical summit in Singapore that could potentially set the stage for the denuclearization of North Korea and help improve diplomatic relations between the two nations.
It looks like the two leaders won’t be alone though as Dennis Rodman also confirmed rumored plans to be there at the summit alongside his longtime friend Donald Trump. “To all Americans and the rest of the world I’m honored to call [Donald Trump] a friend,” the NBA Hall of Famer penned in an Instagram caption that accompanied a shot of Rodman and Trump together. “He’s one of the best negotiators of all time and I’m looking forward to him adding to his historic success at the Singapore.” He would fend the caption with hashtags that read, “#MakeAmericaGreatAgain, #MakeTheWorldGreatAgain, nd #basketballdiplomacy—whatever that means.
It’s taken a lot of twists, turns, and tweets for this summit in Singapore to actually materialize. There’s no clear indication as to what diplomatic expertise Rodman can offer, but the connection is definitely there as Rodman has made several publicized trips to the isolated North Korea on various occasions and worked closely with Trump during a 2013 stint on the Celebrity Apprentice.
During the most recent G7 Summit, Trump did express his optimism with the outcome of this meeting with Kim Jong-Un, stating that the North Korean leader “wants to do something great for his people.”
He adds: “He has that opportunity. And he won't have that opportunity again. It's never going to be there again […] He can take that nation, with those great people, and truly make it great. So, it's a one-time—it's a one-time shot. And I think it's going to work out very well.”
