Alvin S. Kpou aka Douk De Lib: Next Level-Epic, Over the top, and all for the better

NEXT LEVEL

Second Album 'Next Level' drops May,2015

Liberia's choir boy turned Afro Dance artist, Alvin S. Kpou aka Douk De Lib, is expected to drop his second album 'Next Level' in May of 2015.
Sitting on my sofa, listening to 'Next Level', I felt a rush, an unstoppable momentum.  It has an unrelenting style, composition is powerful and sophisticated.   Also remarkable is that some elements of his music are not far removed from the original Liberian highlife rhythm played by kru sailors in the 1950's.   There are four guarantee hits on this album, Juju, Prove It, Cry for Africa and Saybah.  It was a struggle deciding between Juju and Prove It, as the number one hit.  Prove It is very catchy with a great beat but Juju is very well arranged, vocals more powerful and catchy.  All the beats on this album are on point.  Next Level deserves to be.
