Bility formally submits his bid for the Fifa presidency

October 28, 2015 Liberia FA president Musa Bility Liberia FA president Musa Bility says his campaign team have successfully submitted his candidacy to Fifa to stand in February's presidential elections. The 48-year-old's campaign manager, Edwin Snowe, met with Fifa's acting secretary general Marcus Kattner on Monday morning at the world governing body's headquarters in Zurich. Bility has received the backing of the five member associations necessary to stand, which have been passed on to Fifa's Electoral Committee. CUMMINGS FOUNDATION PAYS WAEC FEES FOR LIBERIAN STUDENTS

October 26, 2015  Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, Jr. The Cummings Africa Foundation (CAF), a foundation founded by Mr. Alexander B. Cummings, Jr. and his family, over the weekend announced that it will pay the 2016 WAEC exam fees for the Liberia Senior High School Certificate (LSHSCE) and the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) Exams for candidates in the top schools in Liberia. In a press statement issued from Monrovia and copied to Africa TV1/Africa Radio One on Sunday, quoted Mr. Cummings as saying  “It is important for more candidates to have the opportunity to write these exams. He added that “ this financial support will serve as a bridge for those candidates who have promise but due to their financial situation, are unable to register to take the exams.”  According to Mr. Cummings, “students are the future leaders of Liberia and it is important that we support them to succeed to ensure that they, in turn, also feel vested and give back to  Liberia.” Ms. Fat

Berenice Mulubah | October 16, 2015 Left to Right: Christoph vs CO .Z Throughout the history of rap music, rap battles have been a healthy and creative way for rappers to compete.  Liberian artists Christoph and CO .Z are saying to the world, Colloque rap is no different.  These artists started beefing when self proclaim King of Liberia, CO .Z dropped a song called Kiss the Ring. Christoph came back swinging with some wrangling lyrics.  In his replied, he asked CO .Z these questions, "how are you the king without winning a battle? You have been long in the game but have never made a hit song? You are just from the States, still looking for place to settle down, you don't have a chair, where will you sit with the crown?"  Most fans complained of not understanding CO .Z lyrics because he rapped in Cerees (with American accent).   Well, we won't leave you guys in the dark, check it out.  You have to watch till the end to get both rappers diss.  

Liberian Jebor is World Cup hat-trick hero

                                                                  William Jebor staged a one-man demolition act Tuesday to take Liberia into the second round of 2018 World Cup qualifying in Africa. The 23-year-old striker from Spanish second-tier club Ponferradina scored a hat-trick as the Lone Stars atoned for a poor first-leg showing by winning the return game 3-1 in Guinea-Bissau. Liberia qualified 4-2 on aggregate after being held 1-1 in Monrovia last Thursday and face reigning African champions Ivory Coast next month in another home-and-away tie. Jebor did not take long to make his mark at Stade du 24 Septembre in Bissau on the west coast, scoring after eight and 12 minutes. That left the hosts needing to score at least three times under the away-goal rule and Ibraime Cassama pulled one back just before half-time. Roland Mulbah | October 13, 2015 William Jebor Thousands of Liberians jubilated yesterday as Liberia international striker, William Jebor, who plies his trade in Spain with second division outfit; SD Ponferradina scored a hat trick to give Liberia Lone Star a 3-1 away victory in Guinea Bissau. Jebor, who was the man of the match scored what is believed to be Liberian player’s first ever hat-trick as James Salinsa Debbah’s Lone Star broke a 14 year away record by beating Guinea Bissau 3-1 to secure a second round spot in the Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifier.  The last time Liberia’s Lone Star won a competitive match away was September 14, 2001 when Africa football legend, George Weah came from the bench to score the only goal as Liberia beat Sierra Leone 1-0 in the 2002 World Cup qualifier.  ‘Iron Man’, as Jerbor is affectionately called, rattled the net against Guinea Bissau yesterday in the 8th, 12th and 90th minutes to make sure Liberia’s Lone Star meet Africa’s champions,
