Miracle Gbayee:  The real motives behind her sexual videos

Miracle  recent videos are geared toward sexual confidence within the Liberian community.  The comedian told C Liberia Clearly that her videos are made to spark a conversation about a well needed discussion, "low sex esteem."   It is a known fact that a good percent of men cheat because their sexual needs are not met within their relationships.  Some men cheat just because it is their nature to, but for others, it's because they are sexually deviated within their relationships.  Liberia being a society that demonize sex, we talk less about sex and more about keeping a relationship through a good meal.  Women focus on pleasing a man through his stomach and their abilities to be faithful, neglecting their sexual duties within the relationship.  For Miracle Gbayee, this issue needs to be addressed and she is doing that through her videos on social media.   We asked the comedian how she and her family handle the blacklash from the fans, this is what she had to say, "I do

Jay-Z apologizes to Beyoncé on new album

Jay-Z dropped a 10-track album, “4.44,” exclusively through TIDAL on Friday. It shows his maturity, including his emotional shortcomings in his relationship with Beyoncé.  It’s the response that fans of both artists have been waiting for since Beyoncé released her groundbreaking visual album “Lemonade” in April 2016, which hinted strongly at Jay’s long-rumored infidelities. Brooklyn hip-hop legend spills the beans and owns up to the turmoil he created in their lives. “I apologize, often womanize/Took for my child to be born to see through a woman’s eyes.” (“4.44”) Jay told iHeartMedia that the title track is the crux of the album, and described it as “one of the best songs I’ve ever written.” In this line, he admits to his wrong doing.   “Said ‘don’t embarrass me’ instead of ‘be mine’/That was my proposal for us to go steady/That was your 21st birthday.” (“4.44”)  Despite their 12-year age difference, Beyoncé has evidently always been the more mature half of the relationship “And if my

Jay Z sings about his mother's sexuality in new song, acknowledges she's a lesbian

For years, there have been reports that Jay Z's mother is gay. Jay Z and his mother seem to confirm the reports in his new album 4:44. In the album which just dropped, JayZ spilled a lot about his family, including his marriage to Beyonce.  Among the songs in the album is a track called "Smile". Jay Z's mother, Gloria Carter, collaborated with her son on this track and they both seem to be telling the world that Gloria has been a lesbian for years but had to remain in the closet. Jay Z raps: "Mama had four kids, but she's a lesbian. Had to pretend so long that she's a thespian. Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate..." Jay Z's mom who had to raise the rapper and his three siblings on her own, after Jay Z's dad abandoned them when he was young also recited a poem at the end of the track.  She recited:  "Living in the shadow Can you imagine what kind of life it is to live? In the shadows people see you as happy and free Because tha

Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs met the three women who would eventually become the mothers to his six children all in one year. Though the music mogul’s experience is unique, his relationships with exes Misa Hylton-Brim, Kimberly Porter and Sarah Chapman developed in a relatable way — through friendship and heartbreak. “I met all of them in the same year, so I’ve known all of them in the same amount of time — but we were friends,” he said during a Wednesday appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. “I wasn’t running around through my career and every couple of years just being with a new person. These are people that were my friends.” He continued: “Then I would get my heart broken and then my friend would be there, and I would fall in love with my friend, and then I would get my heart broken.” Combs maintained that his exes, with whom he shares sons Quincy Brown, 26, Justin, 23, Christian, 19, twin girls D’Lila Star and Jessie James, and daughter Chance, all 10, are “taken care of.” “I’ve been

Farmington Hotel Fires 40 Employees

The Farmington Hotel started off 180 employees, but that was short lived.  Monday news surfaced that the services of 40 persons had been terminated. The affected employees, who now appeal for government’s intervention, said they were laid off two weeks to the end of their respective probation period.  The downsizing took place on June 22, two months and three weeks after hiring.   According to the Daily Observer, Farmington Hotel’s Liberia-based Lebanese partners, representing the Abi Jaoudi Group, masterminded the retrenchment exercise at the hotel. Farmington’s decision to let go 40 of its workforce came barely a month after the government granted the management a 30-year tax holiday. On May 30 of this year, 34 of the 73 Representatives on Capitol Hill voted to ratify a 30-year Investment Incentive Agreement between Liberia and the Roberts International Airport (RIA) Hotel Resorts, Incorporated. In that session, there were 38 Representatives present, and 34 of them voted overwhelming

Sampson returns home to Liberia

patient from Liberia, Sampson, walking and smiling with Greta Van Susteren After several months and several surgical treatments at Mayo Clinic, Sampson returned with pride to the Liberian village where he had once been labeled an outcast due to facial deformities that marred his appearance and his vision.  As Rochester's KTTC-TV reports, Sampson came to Rochester with the help of MSNBC's Greta Van Susteren and international relief organization Samaritan's Purse. A team of doctors at Mayo Clinic successfully removed multiple tumors from Sampson's eyes and the left side of his face. The growths were caused by neurofibromatosis, a condition Sampson was born with. It's a condition that — as we reported when Sampson first came to Rochester — led some fellow villagers to label him an outcast. But thanks to plastic surgeon Samir Mardini, M.D., and others at Mayo Clinic, all of that is now in the past for Sampson.

90% of Liberian Entertainers are not built to handle fame: Find out why

You don’t have to pursue fame to live your calling as an entertainer, but a good percent of creative people, want fame.  Most Liberian entertainers I have spoken with, which is many, are seeking fame.  But, how many of these entertainers can handle fame and truly understand what they are seeking?   The bitter truth:  "To be a celebrity means to have more than the usual assaults on one's ego," says Charles Figley, Ph.D., director of the Psychosocial Stress Research Program at Florida State University. "You're very vulnerable to the personal evaluations of other people. The public is ultimately in control of whether your career continues." Figley, who is writing a book on the stresses peculiar to celebrities, conducted a survey in which 200 questionnaires were mailed out to names randomly selected from a list of the public's top-ranked celebrities. From 51 replies, he compiled a list of the primary sources of stress for celebrities and their families, as w
