Meet the Nigerian guy that stole Lupita Nyong’o’s heart

   Mobolaji has stolen the heart of Africa’s biggest actress in Hollywood. Credit: IG Hollywood star, Lupita Nyong’o is reportedly having romance with a Nigerian. His name is Mobolaji Dawodu , a fashion editor at UK’s GQ Style .  The duo have been dating for six months after being introduced by friends, his pal told US Weekly . Lupita became more popular when she won a Best Actress Oscar in 2013 for her role in 12 Years a Slave . Last year, Lupita parted ways with Somali rapper K’naan . She had also been linked with American actor Jared Leto in the past.

Prominent Liberian Journalist, Mamadee Diakita Has Died

Mamadee Diakita Mamadee Diakita, a journalist, civil rights activist and radio personality, from Prime Fm radio station team, passed at 4am, on August 30, 2016, at the SD Cooper's hospital.  Cause of death is yet unknown.  The journalist was rushed to the hospital last night when he felt sick.  RIP Comrade.

By Boakai Kamara  The Head Coach of the Liberia National football team has released the list of players to be feature in Liberia’s most crucial Nation’s Cup decider, the game against Tunisia on Saturday, September 3 in Tunis. Coach James Salinsa Debbah has invited over 20 foreign and local based players for the crunch match that will determine whether Liberia goes to Gabon 2017 Nations Cup Finals. The team has  recalled Serbian-based defender Omega Roberts Alamadine, Lithuanian-based Murphy Dorley, Dominic Tarpeh Doe who plays his club football in South Africa and young Van Dave Harmon who plays in Senegal. William Jebor, Theo Weeks, Anthony Laffor, Teah Dennis and Dioh Williams are among the notable regulars recalled by Debbah for the match. Ellen Receives US-based Liberia Delegation on Renewing Support for Dual Citizenship

Monrovia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 received an eleven member delegation from the Organization of Liberians in Minnesota. The delegation was headed by Mr. Momodu Kemokai. According to an Executive Mansion, the delegation commended President Sirleaf for her leadership, which has kept the country safe for over 13 years now and for the efforts made thus far in tackling the country’s development challenges. Liberia’s Supreme Court Summons Feuding Legislators

The Liberian Supreme Court will hear Monday from the feuding sides of the country’s House of Representatives. About 40 of the 73 members of the House want Speaker Alex Tyler to recuse himself while he faces criminal bribery charges. A grand jury indicted Tyler, other government officials, a Liberian businessman and a foreign mining company in May following a report by London-based advocacy group Global Witness. “We are cognizant that the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. So, we are not asking him to be removed but we want him to recuse himself until he’s vindicated," Representative Edwin Snowe, a former speaker of the house and vocal Tyler opponent told VOA. "We are not looking for a speaker who after sitting on a defendant’s bench and after his case comes back to preside over the House of Representatives,” Snowe said. Usain Bolt A student has shared photos of what appear to be her in bed with Olympic legend  Usain Bolt . Jady Duarte, 20, posted pictures to WhatsApp which seem to show the Jamaican sprint king, who has a long-term girlfriend, cuddling and kissing her. Usain Bolt appears to hug 20-year-old student Jady Duarte from behind in one snap. Bolt appears to kiss Jady Duarte on the cheek in another picture despite it being revealed by the Sun on Sunday he has a girlfriend. In one photo a topless Bolt appears to hug Jady, wearing a white vest, from behind while the other looks like he is kissing her on the cheek. The pictures were shared by the Brazilian student and have appeared on several news outlets in her home country including  El Globo .

Mr. Tobias Bowen CLAY, N.Y. — Six years ago, Tobias A. Bowen fled the country in an attempt to escape charges accusing him of sexually abusing a child in Clay. Bowen, 49, who used to live at 4783 Norstar Blvd., Clay, was arrested in March 2010 and charged with third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act. He’s accused of having sex with a child who was younger than 17 for years old. Shortly after posting bail, Bowen left the country — fleeing over 4,000 miles to Liberia, his native country, said Sgt. Jon Seeber, a spokesman for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. More than six years later, Bowen has been returned to Onondaga County, Seeber announced Friday. Bowen was arrested in April 2014 after stepping off an airplane in London, Seeber said. He was recently extradited back to the United States and will appear Friday before an Onondaga County Court judge. Liberia Government vs Media: LIB 24 105.1 Shutdown by government

By Boakai Kamara | August 13, 2016 After about a month of closing down Voice FM, which was accused of using 102.7 frequency illegally, the government of Liberia has again closed another radio station, LIB 24 105.1.  The station got shutdown early Saturday morning, on grounds that it has not been able to pay taxes to the government of Liberia.  The station which is owned by presidential candidate B.Urey, has been operating for the passed ten years. According to our source, the station was closed down when the CEO  of voice FM, Mr. Henry Costa,  during his talked show, told the people of Liberia that the president of Liberia is one of the big-boy-one in the on going global witness report saga. There are heavily armed men from the Liberia national police presently posted at the office of LIB 24 radio and TV office on tenth street Sinkor.

EMMANUEL MATADI Emmanuel Matadi (born 15 April 1991) is a Liberian athlete competing in sprinting events. [2] He won 2015 division 2 NCAA national titles in the 100m and 200m at Minnesota State, Mankato. Matadi also won the bronze medal in the 200 metres at the 2016 African Championships . Mariam Kromah ATHLETIC HISTORY: Mariam Kromah is a Liberian 400 meter runner, who ran a school record time of 53 seconds in the 400 meters for the University of Southern Mississippi. Kromah placed third at the C-USA Championship, earning third team honors. She will make her first Olympic appearance in Rio. Suspicious armed men attacked the Headquarters of the Special Presidential Task Force

Boakai Kamara | August 13, 2016  Suspicious armed men attacked the Headquarters of the Special Presidential Task Force on early Friday morning leaving one of the security guards with minor injuries. At about 2:45 am on Friday, August 12, 2016, eight men who were dressed in Black outfits; armed with single barrel guns and other deadly weapons broke into the main fence of the building holding the offices of the tripartite body. The men attempted to penetrate into the premise but were however repelled by the security guards who were on duty. The evidence Safe situated within the building was not breached as everything remains intact at the Task Force. Meanwhile, officers at the Liberia National Police (LNP) have launched a forensic probe into the matter.

The 2016 Battle of the States  Soccer tournament is on.  It is happening right now in Charlotte, NC. 26 soccer teams from around the United States of America, all brought together in Charlotte NC for a tournament  by one of Charlotte's hottest promoter, Tashiki Alex Sonpon.  The tournament  kicked off on August 12, 2016 with a Media Day.   The players and coaches were interviewed and had the opportunity to meet their fans.  Check out few photos from the day.
