The prestigious award show in its eleventh year is aimed at highlighting Nigerians who consistently make an impact on their immediate communities and beyond. The Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEAs) 2016 nominees list has been announced. The NEAs is an annual award ceremony with primary objective of recognizing the contributions of Nigerian and African Entertainers. The award ceremony, in its 11th year, is not only focused on recognizing Nigerian entertainers but also highlight Nigerians who continue to make an impact in our immediate communities in Nigeria or extended communities in the diaspora. This year, the producers of the NEAs are excited to announce the addition of some new categories and also the expansion of some existing categories to reflect the ever changing entertainment industry.   Emmanuel Matadi will be representing Liberia at the Olympic in August 2016.  As he prepares for his trip to Rio de Janeiro, the Olympian had a quick conversation with C Liberia Clearly.  What is the selection process to represent Liberia at the Olympic? Liberia don't have an Olympia trial like the United States because we are few.  There is a standard used and I met the standards for the men's 100 and 200 meters.   How long it took to prepare?  According to the Liberian Daily Observer, a new Intellectual Property Law, which aimed to prevent counterfeit in all sectors, including providing ownership of artistic works, inventions, academic research, among others, has been approved by the Legislature. The Law would also spur innovation and creativity and help to create job opportunities. The new Act, termed as the Liberia Intellectual Property Act, was passed on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, by the House of Representatives to concur with the Liberian Senate. Rocker Gene Simmons has brought one of his Liberian 'foster children' to the U.S. for a life-changing surgery. The boy, named Zinnah, is scheduled to undergo surgery on his legs to correct an unspecified condition that will help him walk, according to reports, and the Kiss star is hoping his actions will encourage more people to help those suffering around the world.
