In what is a rare occurrence amongst American celebrities, rapper Snoop Dogg‘s marriage to wife Shante Taylor is waxing stronger as the union has clocked 19 years against all odds.
Snoop, real name Calvin Broadus got married to Shante who was his
high school sweetheart on June 12, 1997, and the couple have weathered
the storms – including once flirting with divorce by separating in May
2004, before renewing their vows in January 2008.‘This music industry is a mother, man, and it’ll take your vision and blur it. But God is good, so I understand that I need my wife and my kids in my life—so I threw the papers away. I don’t want to get a divorce. So if you hear about a divorce, it’ll be my wife divorcing me. It won’t be me divorcing her…And I made a mistake, so I’m trying to get back right,’ the rapper said of his decision to get back with Shante in an interview with MTV at the time.

The couple who are already grandparents, are blessed with four kids, Cordell, Cori, Corde and Julian.
