'Liberian Blogger' Augustina K Monpleh Opens Up About Her Career and Love Life: "I Had Crush on Him Really Hard!"

Call her the Boss of Liberian Star View (LSV) and you’ll be absolutely right. A company that is into Entertainment, P.R., Media and Marketing.  Augustina has immensly contributed to the growth of Liberian entertainment industry. In her words, ”I want to make LSV the main source for Liberian Entertainment News. I want to turn my company into an entertainment magazine, get an office in Liberia an do major things for the industry."

C Liberia Clearly: What inspired you to start Liberian Star View?

Augustina: (Laughing).  You won't believe this, it was Takun J.  I had crush on him really hard.  I fell in love with one of his songs 'It's Not Right'.  I said to myself, "I will promote this boy."  At the time, nobody was promoting Liberian artists.  I didn't know I had passion for blogging. I wanted to become an actress.  I started blogging about him and the rest fell into place. 
 
C Liberia Clearly: What are some of the challenges you face as a blogger?
 
Augustina: Not enough Liberians respect and appreciate my talent.  They want you to be promoted but they don't show appreciation.  I want to get respect and appreciation for my work. I have so much passion for blogging.  My goal is to blog until I leave this earth.  I want to be hire for my work.
 
C Liberia Clearly: Are you dating anyone?
 
Augustina: I was dating a Jerk who was only interested in my money. Can you imagine?  Some Liberian men are jerks.  On a positive note, I have a fine guy who is interested and it's looking good so far. 
 
                                                                           
 

In 2005, Ms. Augustina Kou Monpleh founded Liberian Stars Views in an effort to create a medium through which the Liberian entertainment industry could attain some publicity. The company focus on showcasing the Liberian entertainers in music, film, fashion, and general entertainment.

President George Weah's One Day National Forum Successfully Attended by 26 Political Parties

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. According to Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs at Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, all 26 political parties attended and participated from start to finish.  Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video.  Each political party gave ideals and recommendations, which made the meeting a great success.  According to  Deputy Minister Fahngon, "there will be future engagement...

Liberian Superstar Quincy B Dead

2 March 2017 / Berenice Mulubah  Quincy B On March 3, 2017, Liberian superstar, Quincy L. Borrow aka Quincy B, died from a car accident, on his way from KARAOKE NITE, in Monrovia, Liberia.  The artist was pulled out of the damaged vehicle and rush to the JFK hospital. Quincy B did not survived.   Few hours before his death, the artist was spotted live on snap chat, singing Karaoke. Quincy B who was the driver of the car, died immediately.  Artists CIC , Margas Bimba and Feouls Kaba in the vehicle, as well, they are at the hospital, being treated.  CIC broken his legs in the accident. CIC and Quincy B are nominated for the Liberian Entertainment Awards 2017.
