James Debbeh named Gor Mahia defender Dirkir Glay in Liberian squad against Togo,expected to replace Solomon Grimes

Liberian head coach James Debbah will be counting on the experience of defender Dirkir Glay when they face Togo in Afcon later this monthGor Mahia defender Dirkir Glay has been named in Liberian squad to face Togo in a 2017 Afcon qualifying match later this month. Glay, who joined Gor Mahia from Thika United, is among players Liberian coach James Debbah will be counting on for good results in the fixture.
According to Liberia football news, Glay confirmed that he will link up with the team for the qualifier. The news portal wrote, “Liberian national team coach James Debbah will be counting on the experience of defender Dirkir Glay of Gor Mahia FC from the Kenyan league when they face Togo next month.
“According to the Liberian defender, he will join the team in Ghana and make the three points hunt against Togo; it will be his first game for the national team since he started playing his professional football with Thika United before he signed with Kenyan champion Gor Mahia FC.
“Glay is expected to replace Solomon Grimes in the right-back position or partner with Jordan base Teah Dennis, but the selection of Glay shows that James Debbah is a coach that listens to the sport media correction.”

President George Weah's One Day National Forum Successfully Attended by 26 Political Parties

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. According to Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs at Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, all 26 political parties attended and participated from start to finish.  Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video.  Each political party gave ideals and recommendations, which made the meeting a great success.  According to  Deputy Minister Fahngon, "there will be future engagement...
