Glay, who joined Gor Mahia from Thika United, is among players Liberian coach James Debbah will be counting on for good results in the fixture.
According to Liberia football news, Glay confirmed that he will link up with the team for the qualifier. The news portal wrote, “Liberian national team coach James Debbah will be counting on the experience of defender Dirkir Glay of Gor Mahia FC from the Kenyan league when they face Togo next month.
“According to the Liberian defender, he will join the team in Ghana and make the three points hunt against Togo; it will be his first game for the national team since he started playing his professional football with Thika United before he signed with Kenyan champion Gor Mahia FC.
“Glay is expected to replace Solomon Grimes in the right-back position or partner with Jordan base Teah Dennis, but the selection of Glay shows that James Debbah is a coach that listens to the sport media correction.”
