Liberia National County Meet 2025 Kickoff Results

The 2025 Liberian National County Sports Meet has kicked off in four counties: Sinoe, Bong, Margibi, and Grand Gedeh. Check out the results from the first phase below: Sinoe 2 – 0 Rivercess Nimba 2 – 1 Cape Mount Grand Gedeh 2 – 1 Grand Kru Lofa 1 – 1 Gbarpolu Maryland 0 – 0 Bomi Sinoe County began their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Rivercess County at the James E. Greene Sports Stadium in Greenville. Patrick Duah scored the first goal in the 10th minute, and Lewis Slewoin secured the win with a goal in the 80th minute. Lofa County and Gbarpolu County ended their match in a 1-1 draw. Gbarpolu took the lead just before halftime with a goal from Abraham Kawah, but James Tarpeh’s equalizer in the 75th minute ensured both teams shared the points. Daniel Nymah scored in the second half to give Bong County a 1-0 win over Grand Bassa. After an earlier attempt was disallowed for offside, Nymah's strike earned Bong County a hard-fought victory. In Group D, Nimba County displayed resilience by coming from behind to beat Grand Cape Mount County 2-1, marking a strong start to their tournament. Host Grand Gedeh County achieved a 2-1 win over Grand Kru County in a spirited match, boosting their confidence. Meanwhile, Montserrado County and Margibi County played to a 1-1 draw in a closely contested opener. The National County Sports Meet keeps on fostering unity, joy, and excitement as fans passionately support their teams in the quest for the title.

President George Weah's One Day National Forum Successfully Attended by 26 Political Parties

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. According to Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs at Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, all 26 political parties attended and participated from start to finish.  Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video.  Each political party gave ideals and recommendations, which made the meeting a great success.  According to  Deputy Minister Fahngon, "there will be future engagement...

Stephen Worjloh aka Big Steve Liberian music industry before the 90's was booming globally.  As the young entertainers struggles to get their industry back on track, after the war, remembering their musical history plays a big role.
