Silent Night by Jaway & Shaun

Silent night to me represents the innocence and pure love from an untainted heart.  But of course that is difficult given we are all humans.

I always loved that song since I first heard it as a child during Christmas in Liberia. It brings back so many found memories of childhood with my mother and Grandmother, both of whom are still alive and well in Liberia. Thank God!

As a child, I looked forward to the surprise from Santa and also the food, especially the Jollof rice and whatever my grandmother baked. I miss those times very much.

The performance was an impromptu one done at sound-check about 9:10am, this past Sunday, Dec. 22nd. Shaun (on guitar) and I were waiting for our other church-mate, Norman Kesley, who was running few minutes late to quickly rehearse "God Ye Merry Gentlemen" which was to be sung later during the service. All this occurred at First United Methodist Church in North Hollywood, located in North Hollywood, CA.

While jawing a little with Shaun, I remembered he and I messing around with Silent Night few weeks before during another rehearsal. So I asked him to just play it while I thank my well wishers for the past year and wish my fans, friends and family merry Christmas and a happy new year.

The camera was already set up with the remote in my hand and I'm pleased it turned out fine the first time around. Lol.....

I credit that to the working relation and chemistry Shaun and I have developed and continue to nurture over the past eight or nine months
