Tunes Liberia’s Top-5 Download Songs August 21-27

By Tunes Liberia Team

Here we are again counting down the top five most downloaded songs on Liberia's biggest music portal, Tunes Liberia, for the week ending August 27, 2016.
This week we have few changes in the charts that came from new new released single.
1. Yung Classic & Christoph – Blessings 2. Christoph Feat. Margas – Hold Your Polaruh 3. Kofi Taylor Feat. Quincy B. – Elehleh Kpono 4. Soul Fresh – What Ur Want 5. Soul Fresh - No Case
Number 5: Soul Fresh - No Case
Ex-champs "No Case" dropped three steps backward from second slot last week on the chart to fifth place.
Fron all indication, it seem that site visitors are losing interest in the song but hope that should not be the case.
Number 4:  Soul Fresh – What Ur Want
Another single from the rap group Soul Fresh that dropped one place from it third last week.
Immidately after their sold out concert few weeks ago, "What Ur Want" dropped from it position as one of the most requested air play song as well as not been among the hots club songs anymore.
However there is hope for rebirth. Nothing is impossible, anything can help in a few minutes.
Number 3:  Kofi Taylor Feat. Quincy B. – Elehleh Another great opportunity for this young industry lad who currently site comfortable at third place.
In my opinion, the song catchy lyric Elehleh make it love by the site visitors. Hope it continued the fight to maintain it status on the chart.
Another amazing thing is that Queen B flow on the song is on point.
Number 2. Christoph Feat. Margas – Hold Your Polaruh
Another ex- champion, "Hold Your Polaruh" dropped one slot from first place last week on the chart to second this week.
Looking at the current situation, "Hold Your Polaruh" need to fight hard in order to remain on the chat taking into consideration lot of hot new released singles.
However only the site visitors can determine whether the song will sty or not through their download.
Number 1: Yung Classic featuring Christoph – Blessings
Another brand new song on the chat that make it way to number one slot. "Blessings"is a very nice song want worth listening to, however it is not making airwave.
Yup! This is what we have so far. Join us again next week for a new lineup.

Wilmot Collins will be Helena’s new mayor, unseating incumbent Jim Smith in a close race Tuesday.
Collins, 54, will be the city's first new mayor in 16 years after running a long campaign based in progressive principles.
“The people of Helena have spoken, and I am honored to be able to serve them,” Collins said as the night drew to a close. “I intend to work with commissioners, work for the people of Helena and find what is best for this city.”Collins also sought to praise Smith for his work over the past decade and a half.
“I commend Mayor Smith. He’s done a great job for the city, and I hope to work with him in the future," Collins said.
At the La Pa Grill on 6th Avenue in downtown Helena, Collins and other members of the self-described “progressive ticket” watched and waited for the results of the 2017 election.
The feeling was festive as Collins received a call from U.S. Sen. Jon Tester congratulating Collins on his victory. Victory cigars were passed around the room at the …

C Liberia Clearly CEO calls on George Weah to take Arts and Culture seriously.
The Honorable George M. Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia, I write to endorse your "Pro Poor" agenda. I fully

support your call "to ensured Liberians are not spectators in the

Liberian Economy."    In

order to carry out this "Pro Poor" agenda successfully,

and in order to fully empower the young generation, the Liberian Entertainment Industry must be included.

Arts and Culture has played a critical role in keeping our young citizens gainfully employed.  From the music industry to film industry to the fashion industry, this generation has benefitted from the employment opportunities arts and culture provides.
To extend the benefits of arts, culture and tourism, the Liberian government must support and rely on arts and culture as a key input for rebuilding our nation. There are several actions this administration should take to strengthen the role that arts and culture p…
