Liberian Entertainment Awards Announces Official Nominees for the 2019: Over 6 Entertainers Neck to Neck with 2 Nominations Each

Liberian Entertainment Awards (LEA) today announces the nominees for the 2019 Liberian Entertainment Awards across 15 different categories. The annual celebration will recognize the best in Comedy, Music, Movies and Fashion from legends to the next generation. Hosting on March 16th in Washington DC, the LEA presents: 2019 Liberian Entertainment Awards nominees.

2019 breakout star, Nuchie Meek ties with big names like CIC, Bucky Raw, Christoph, Foreign Ward, leading the nominations with two each. Nuchie Meek’s nominations include ‘Hipco Artist of the Year,’  and ‘New Artist of the Year.’ Bucky Raw’s nominations include ‘Artist of the Year,’and 'Hipco Artist of the Year'.
Other nominees include Chi Chi Neblett who garnered 2 nominations, Tamba Hali, C-Jay, and Jaredo each garnered 2 nominations for this year’s awards.
These are the newbies to Liberian Entertainment Awards nominee list: Ace Harris, Lil Jay, Ladia Jackson, Rickslyn Myers and more.
Performer at 1984 Louisiana World Exposition , Award winner, singer-songwriter, artist, and activist, Fatu Gayflor, is set to receive the Legend Award. Check out the complete list below:

President George Weah's One Day National Forum Successfully Attended by 26 Political Parties

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. According to Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs at Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, all 26 political parties attended and participated from start to finish.  Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video.  Each political party gave ideals and recommendations, which made the meeting a great success.  According to  Deputy Minister Fahngon, "there will be future engagement...

Stephen Worjloh aka Big Steve Liberian music industry before the 90's was booming globally.  As the young entertainers struggles to get their industry back on track, after the war, remembering their musical history plays a big role.
