Death Announcement:  Elder Martha Zeah Garkpi Passes Away


DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT
        The Garkpi family regret to announce the sad home going of their dear Mother, Elder Martha Zeah Garkpi, Age 67. This sad event occurred on June 17, 2017 at the Houston Northwest Medical Center in Houston, Texas, United States. Elder Martha Garkpi who was commonly known as Grandma departed this physical world to be with the Lord in Eternal glory.
        A former teacher of Calvary Baptist Elementary and Jr. High Monrovia, Liberia. She was also a former Child Care director at Alpha Child Development Center Houston TX. A former residence of 14th street Sinkor area, Elder Martha was known to show affection to all who interacted with her. She is succeeded by 6 Children, Siblings, Neices, Nephews, Grand children and a host of other relatives. The wake keeping and funeral Service for Elder Martha will be held on July 14th & 15th 2017; location: Spring Wood United Methodist Church,1711 Cypress Parkway Houston, TX 77090. The grave site; Calvary hill funeral home and cemetery, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble Texas 77338.
In Liberia at the Living Word Ministries International, SKD Complex Community adjacent Sport Complex Monrivia, Liberia. There will also be a memorial service held in honor of her in Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia.
        Family members, friends, and sympathizers are all invited to come and not only mourn the home going of Elder Martha but also celebrate the wonderful life she lived. President George Weah's One Day National Forum Successfully Attended by 26 Political Parties

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. According to Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs at Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, all 26 political parties attended and participated from start to finish.  Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video.  Each political party gave ideals and recommendations, which made the meeting a great success.  According to  Deputy Minister Fahngon, "there will be future engagement...

Stephen Worjloh aka Big Steve Liberian music industry before the 90's was booming globally.  As the young entertainers struggles to get their industry back on track, after the war, remembering their musical history plays a big role.
