Quiana M Shamsid-Deen: Where are the materials from?

Quiana M Shamsid-Deen
I came across Quiana M Shamsid-Deen comment on social media this morning, definitely worth sharing.  Something interesting and should be open for discussion.
"My only concern is a few African designers are getting their fabrics/cloth/materials from China. (Though many African countries also get their materials from China. Higher end from Holland) We are wearing and creating African inspired garments, but African countries and the people are not benefitting from it. Which is why I make sure to ask, "where are the materials from?" Just to begin that dialogue to encourage us to work with the continent and build our communities together. Bridging the gap."Quiana

What do you think?
