Family, friends, colleagues, a cross-section of media professionals and select fans were yesterday treated to an exclusive listening of the debut album of one of Nigeria’s most celebrated and bankable DJs, DJ Neptune.
As guests arrived at the NOOK Lounge for this invite-only exclusive listening is was clear that it was going to be a night of premium class and good music, with some free cocktail supplied by Remy Martin.
Among the special guests who were present for the listening were Nigeria’s most revered DJ Jimmy Jatt, Do2tun, Timaya, Larry Gaga, DJ Bombastic, DJ Lambo, Mr Real, Efe (Big Brother) Sasha P, GospelOneTheBeatz, Kafy, DJ Smooth The Damager, DJ Shy Shy, YQ and Broda Shaggi.
The “GREATNESS” album according to DJ Neptune has been in the works for about 10 years with as he exclusively revealed during the listening that the verse by super talented rapper and producer Jesse Jags on the first track ‘Blood and Fire’ which also features MI Abaga had been recorded as far back as 2015. ‘I recorded with Jesse 3 years ago, I felt like as a DJ and hip-hop head, I had to kick off the album with a straight up hip-hop joint. It took a while to finally get MI on the track. I told him I wanted a classic and he delivered just that’, Neptune narrated.
Real name, Imohosien Patrick, DJ Neptune started his Deejaying at the tender age of 10, playing gigs around his neighbourhood, entertaining his friends and neighbours and by the time he was in high school he had started living his dreams, spinning at school parties, fast food eateries, nightclubs, and house parties.
GREATNESS by DJ Neptune will officially drop on May 25th. It has in it 13 fresh tracks, 2 bonus tracks and features an array of bonafide music heavyweights and producers including MI, Burna Boy, Davido, Jesse Jags, Olamide, Mayorkun, Patoranking, Mr Real, Pasuma, Kiss Daniel and Maleek Berry. Others are Phyno, Slim Case, Skales, Niniola, CDQ, Larry Gaga, Small Doctor, Reminisce, Zoro, Efya from Ghana, Willy Paul from Kenya and Harmonize from Tanzania.

President George Weah's One Day National Forum Successfully Attended by 26 Political Parties

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. According to Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon, Deputy Minister for Press and Public Affairs at Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs & Tourism, all 26 political parties attended and participated from start to finish.  Even though, social media was buzzing about AB Dillion walking out of the meeting, he walked out as an individual and not a political party, "the invitation was extended to political parties and not to individuals," Minister Fahngon stated in his live video.  Each political party gave ideals and recommendations, which made the meeting a great success.  According to  Deputy Minister Fahngon, "there will be future engagement...

Stephen Worjloh aka Big Steve Liberian music industry before the 90's was booming globally.  As the young entertainers struggles to get their industry back on track, after the war, remembering their musical history plays a big role.
