Liberia Music Industry: C Liberia Clearly Top 10 Male Singer of 2017

The Liberian Music industry has grown over the years. In 2017, our artists dropped high quality videos, many new collaborations, more singles have been dropped, albums have been released and surprisingly, show-stopping performances have been nailed to the dot.

This list is about the top 10 hardest working male artists among all the hard working male artists in the Liberian Music industry. These artists have shown growth and results. Their musical dexterity just can’t be missed. 

10. Foriegn Ward


2017 was a great year for Foriegn Ward music career. He sold himself as a brand. He hasn’t master art of the music game, but when he understands there is a legitimate reason the word “game” is attached to the music business, I’m 100% sure that he will play to win.  His video “No Makeup” is a classic, absolutely beautiful. In 2017, he dropped an album “Broken English” along with a custom Mobile App, dropped two quality videos and got booked for over 15 shows. 

9. Benji Cavalli 


Benji Cavalli, who is currently based in America, was booked for two different shows outside the United States, which looks great on any artist resume.  Benji dropped three singles, including two collaborations, one with Eric Gese and one with D12.  He was booked for over 15 shows.  He won the Liberian Golden Award Australia “King of the Stage” Award, 2017.  He also received two nominations from Liberia Music Awards and one nomination from TunesLiberia.  

8. Con C Coins 


Australia based Liberian artist, Con C Coins is waving the Liberian flag very high in Australia.  All through 2017, he was dropped songs and picked up Awards. With countless awards and nominations, it’s easy to see how he earned a spot on C Liberia Clearly Best Male Singers list. Within two days, his song “Patience” was Downloaded 2000 times on TunesLiberia.  He also dropped three quality videos this year.  

7. Christoph the Change 


Dropping songs, collaborating with other artists, dropping hot videos, and being the most booked Hipco artists outside Liberia, Christoph has definitely earned this spot.  He also received many awards and nominations in 2017.  

6. AG Da Profit 


Having your song played at every party, clubs, social gatherings and radio stations, is every artist pride and joy.  AG Da Profit did just that, with his hit song Zico.  His song was one of the most played songs within the Liberian community.  AG Da Profit is nominated for many awards, including Liberian Entertainment Awards Best New Artist and Song of the Year. He also took home a NGEA award in 2017.   As a new artist, he had a great year.  

5. Jodi Clarke


Jodi Clarke did a lot of traveling this year, representing Liberia to the fullest.  From Paris, Australia, Canada, and the Ivory Coast, he has been working hard.  He dropped one quality video, with three amazing songs in 2017.  

4. Shine P


Shine P the hitmaker, has set the bar high for any new artist.  I can’t wait to see the next new artist who is going to do it better than Shine P, dropping hits after hits, within their debut year.  Shine P made history twice this year. For the first time in LEA history a new artist is nominated for artist of the year, and it is also the first time a new artist is nominated in more than one categories. Shine P is nominated for artist of the year, song of the year, best Hipco artist and best new artist. He also has many other nominations under his belt and the booked shows to go with it.  

3. Kobazzie 


Kobazzie the Lorma boy really outdid himself in 2017.  His song “Drinks on Me” was a 2017 anthem within the Liberian community.  He recently performed at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York.  Kobazzie has many awards and nominations, including the Liberian Entertainment Awards Best Artist of the Year and  Song of the Year. 

2. CIC 


For an artist, endorsement from corporate bodies is a big advantage. The cash involved is a symbol of stability and having arrived. So, when CIC became the brand ambassador for  MTN, it was marked as a major achievement.  CIC is also nominated for Liberian Entertainment Awards Best Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Hipco Artist of the Year.  His hit song Jon Buttay was one of the most popular Liberian song in 2017. 

1. DenG


DenG is the most popular and well respected Liberian artist.  He has held this title for over three years.  He has graced his fans with a hit every year, for the passed four years.  In 2017, he dropped three major hits, “Grateful,  Janjay and Leipay Leipay.” He dropped a quality video for his 2016 hit “Make Them Talk” in 2017.  His humanitarian project to feed the homeless was a success.  His campiagn song for President-elect George Weah was one of the most shared song of 2017.  DenG is nominated of Liberian Entertainment Awards “Best Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year.” DenG is the most loved Liberian artist in 2017 with the largest fan base.

On Thursday, August 8, 2018, President George Weah had a sit down with 26 political parties of Liberia.  The meeting aimed at advancing ideals that promote the spirit of national unity and political tolerance between opposition political parties and the government.  ANC, LP and UP attended the meeting as a team. Liberia: Kpanto Entertains Small Crowd at Australia Concert

Kpanto's Australia tour's first night in Perth on April 1st was a tour in terms of attendance, but the artist still managed to put up a fantastic show in spite of the low crowd. Despite Kpanto's tremendous popularity, the attendance was unsatisfactorily low. A video that was just found online shows that there were between 25 and 65 people present. According to the promoter who planned the event, the actual number was 210. Despite all, the musician provided a standout performance.
